His Excellency, the Magistrate of the Port bids you welcome!

Hear ye! Hear ye! By sovereign accord, the Louisiana Purchase is sealed and the storied Port of New Orleans is henceforth a jewel of our Republic!

The tides are turning are turning festive. Come one, come all, ship captains and mythical creatures of the coast, to observe our customs of the sea. This is a ball for Coasties, Coastie families and friends, all defenders of our sacred liberties (all military branches), and the maritime community upon whose shoulders the heritage of this port is built.
